Busy busy busy

Life has been so crazy busy lately. Between me getting sick, Tenley getting sick, updating our kitchen, trying to figure out weather or not Chris is staying in the military, having family here, thus month has been CRAZY!! I have had some time to lose weight 8lbs in 3 weeks. Woot! So I'm excited about that. We have had a ton of fun too.

And here are some pictures of our life over the past month :)

Christmas Day

I have never had a more spectacular Christmas day. I couldn't sleep at all so I woke the hubs up at 6am and we waited for Marcus to wake up (he's our early riser). He did not disappoint. He was up by 630. We had to go get Teny cause we didn't want Marcus to see anything without her. So we went and woke her up and lets just say this girl does NOT like 6am. She cried and cried and cried and then she saw the play kitchen and girlfriend went from screaming to laughing and playing in seconds. It was awesome. We actually sat on the couch drinking coffee and watching them play for the longest time.

We finally decided that while they played we would open our stockings and presents.

Then the kids did their stockings and presents.

Afterwards we just played and played and then realized we needed to get dressed and head over to Chris' family for Christmas breakfast.

We had a blast over their and ate really yummy food.
After that we headed to my moms house and put the babies down for naps.

Once the babies woke up they had Christmas all over again. They are seriously spoiled. Chris and I decided there was no need for us to buy them ANYTHING! haha.
Then we had a wonderful dinner made by my mama and husband =)
Afterwards Chris and Marcus went home and Teny and I stayed and watched Pitch Perfect. (BTW it was an AWESOME MOVIE!!!)
We had an amazing Christmas. I loved watching my babies have such a good time, I loved hanging out with all of our families. I loved just being happy and sharing memories with everyone that will last a lifetime.

2013

I never really do new years resolutions or any type of goals just because the few times I've tried I've forgotten what they were by February.

I mean I've always had the I'm going to lose weight goal but that's never really stuck either.

But this year there are some things I would like to do, some things I would like to change in my life.

Number 1- I want us to eat dinner as a family at least 4-5 tines a week.
We have this bad habit of eating once the kids are in bed or eating in the living room watching TV. I really want family dinners and I feel like if we don't start now we will never start.

Number 2- Spend more time as a family.
We are  always all going in different directions. Chris is at work, then I'm taking Marcus to this therapy or that therapy, then I'm at the gym. Our schedules never mesh well during the work week. So I really want to try to find more family time for the 4 of us.

Number 3- Lose the last baby bit of baby weight.
I know I said that putting losing weight down is pointless. But regardless its something I really want to do. I really want to lose these last 25lbs and I want to do it before summer. I started my weight loss journey in August, kinda fell off the bandwagon in Nov and Dec but I fully intend to get right back on the horse and finish this journey.

Number 4- Learn Patience.
I have NO patience none. But being a mom you have to have patience.

So those are the 4 things that are high on my list of things I would like to change over the course of 2013.

Christmas Eve

I LOVE living so close to family, especially during the holidays.

We spent the night at my moms house the night before Christmas Eve so we could wake up Christmas Eve and have a HUGE breakfast.

It was so much fun and the food was super yummy.

After Breakfast we baked cookies, decorated cookies, decorated our gingerbread house and train.

That night we went to our dear friends house for their annual Christmas Eve party and it was a blast as usual.

Fabulous company, amazing food, the kids had a blast, and they got to see Santa.

We left the party early to make sure we got home in time to put out cookies for Santa, let the kids open a present and then read a Christmas story before bed. Didn't get any pictures of that because we were enjoying it way too much to pull out a camera. Both Marcus and Teny were so excited to put the cookies out and read the Christmas story.

After we put them to bed we went crazy with getting everything together. Seriously it took us over an hour to put together their play kitchen. Who knew play kitchens were so difficult to put together and seriously why cant they put the stickers on when they make them. I had the hardest time EVER placing the stickers on. lol. But we finally did it and finished wrapping Santa gifts and we called it a night.

It was an amazing Christmas eve. Despite Marcus and myself being sick we both pushed along and had a great day. Like I said before I love living near family especially during the holidays because I know this Christmas would not have as amazing as it was without them. =)
